Emergency Safe Homes
Fully furnished, modern, secure homes designed to restore dignity and comfort.
Each property includes:
- Private, secure rooms for women and children.
- Safety measures (security systems, duress alerts and CCTV).
- Welcoming environments that feel like home, not institutions.
Case Management & Support
We provide wraparound care, tailored to each family:
- Individual safety planning.
- Trauma-informed counselling referrals.
- Connections to housing, health, and education.
- Referral to Court and legal advocacy support.
Cultural Safety
We work closely with Indigenous families and community leaders to ensure services are culturally safe, respectful, and empowering.

Beyond crisis care, we help families transition into safe, stable, long-term housing and rebuild their lives

Safe Living for Families is locally founded and operated in Mareeba, and we exist for one reason:
To ensure no woman or child in our community is ever left without a safe place to go.
Founded with deep local knowledge of our community in Mareeba.
Backed by the largest Residential Youth Service Provider in the Tablelands with experience in running high-quality Crisis Accommodation homes with full wraparound support services.
We proudly employ over 60 Mareeba local staff and partner with Indigenous leaders.
We operate with full compliance under HSQF and DFV service standards.
